Cohort Chicago is a small, private community. We collect only what we need to review applications and run the group, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone, ever.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing trackers. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
We do not use your information to train machine-learning models, and we do not share it with vendors or sponsors. We take no sponsorships.
Applications are read by the people who run Cohort Chicago. We use a small number of service providers to operate the site and send email; they process data on our instructions only.
Other members never see your application.
After you apply, we email you a private link that lets you view and update your application without a password. The link is the credential — anyone who has it can see and edit your answers. Keep it to yourself, and email us if you think it has been shared or you would like it reissued.
We keep applications while they are under consideration and for as long as you are a member. If you are not offered a place, or you leave, we delete your application within twelve months unless you ask us to keep it on file.
Write to hello@cohortchicago.club at any time to see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted. We will respond within thirty days. You can unsubscribe from any non-essential email with one click.
We collect information about children from their parents — age ranges and school — but we do not collect information directly from children, and children do not have accounts.
The site is served over HTTPS. Applications are stored on access-controlled infrastructure. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you promptly and directly.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email members before it takes effect.
